Tell us about yourself and your background

My background is in Human Resources and Training. I have a Masters in Human Resource Management from London. Besides other degrees, certifications, and training, I am interested in Entrepreneurship and have contributed research papers that were published South East Asia Journal of Business and Law.

What is it that you currently do?

I have my own company Ahsen Qazi International. The Flagship programs we deliver are on Improving Leadership and Team building in organizations. This in turn drives productivity and revenue for companies.

Why are you so passionate about training?

I love helping people become a better version of themselves. I was associated with the Human Resource function and dealing day-to-day with individuals and I realized that trained employees could make a huge difference for themselves and the organization.

A study carried out by True Focus Media states that for every $ 1 spent on training of employees companies can expect to receive $30 worth of productivity. Where else can you get such a large return on your investment?

What is your biggest career achievement?

I conducted a two-day Live event for one of the biggest Manufacturers of shoes, ladies’ handbags, and perfumes. A Multi-Million Dollar company. This event was carried out in a Five Star Hotel and attended by 100 plus executives of the company from 25 different locations in the country.

What is your most popular training program right now?

Our Leadership and Team Building programs are most popular with guaranteed results. This is based on the Colored Brain and Emotional Drive test. Typically, it is delivered as a two-day Workshop. The content is immersive and highly engaging. Participants feel more energized and equipped to deal with organizational challenges.

What is the biggest difference between the training you offer, and other training programs offered in the region?

This program involves the participants in the training. It is not only a lecture or a talk but rather activity-based workshops that use psychology-based games and tools to engage participants. We have tools like the Colored Brain Test, Emotional Drive Test, Colored Glasses, CBCI Cards, World of Work Map, Team Building and Leadership Worksheets, and many Games that participants play to drive Innovation and build trust in the organization. Using these tools helps to make the training more impactful.

How do you help companies?

Well, the first step is to listen to the problem areas. Then we offer them training that addresses the issues they are facing and how we plan to tackle them. The Colored Brain test is a great tool that we use in all our training. With this tool, it becomes easier to build high-performance teams and solve root-cause leadership issues. This is a psychology-based test that measures the Ambiguity Relief Process and is how we get clarity to help reorganize teams for optimum performance.

Why do you believe training is so important in the journey to companies reaching their objectives and full potential?

If your workforce is untrained; they become a burden on the organization. However, by training the workforce they can become revenue-generating assets. The ROI is fantastic for companies that invest in training. Without training, companies will not be able to reach their full potential.

Do you have a case study you can share?

Case Study at an IT company: The CEO of the company is green-brained (works in a chaotic fashion). He hires an IT Manager to revamp the IT department (purple-brained & requires a lot of detail before taking action).

One month passed away and the IT manager did not do much work. Another month passed and still, the IT manager is studying the system and gathering information but not taking any action. The CEO calls the IT manager into his office and tells him to start the implementation he was hired for. The IT manager comes to the CEO’s office and shows him detailed manuals of problems with solutions, including hardware and software changes. The CEO appreciates the IT manager for his fantastic work.

The fact is Purple purple-brained people like the IT manager need time to absorb information and on the other hand Green green-brained people like the CEO want fast results.

What are your top strategies for continued success after an organization completes a training program?

Reinforcement of Learning: The reinforcement of learning after a company has completed its training is done by using the following:

1. All the notes, handouts, and quizzes that were used in the training are kept with individual participants of the company. The notes are available whenever a participant wants to reflect back on the training.

2. A list of resources is placed in the Whats app group and also handed over to the training manager of the company.

3. Some training is carried out in pairs. So both the participants have notes and are accountable to each other.

4. Practical Application of training is done while the training is being carried out. So organizations can see immediate results.

5. Leaders and managers are involved in the post-training process. They should monitor progress, provide feedback, and recognize achievements.

6. Recognition and Rewards of employees who demonstrate proficiency or improvement after the training. This can motivate others to engage fully with their new skills.

7. Sustained Learning Culture by Introducing refresher courses or advanced-level training to keep employees engaged in learning over time.

Why do most training courses not have a lasting impact and what makes your training courses so successful?

Most Training programs are lecture and slide-based. The assimilation is only 10 to 15 % of the content delivered.

However, because our content is immersive and activity-based involving the participants, they learn more in the process. Our training workshops can be delivered in any setting from a hotel to an excursion on an island. One of our best programs is called the “High Performance Retreat” which is meant for CEOs and Leaders and is conducted in an outdoor adventure setting.

What current trends do you see in the training industry?

Well, currently there is a combination of live programs combined with e-learning. Which is a good trend and provides good results. Also, customized training paths using AI and data analytics to enhance relevance and measure effectiveness is becoming a norm.

How do you see the training industry evolving over the next 5 years?

Over the next 3-5 years, the training industry will see greater use of AI for personalized learning, immersive experiences with VR/AR, and a strong focus on soft skills like leadership and emotional intelligence. Microlearning and on-demand training will grow as flexibility becomes essential, while data-driven analytics will guide decisions to optimize training outcomes and align them with business goals.

What are your future goals?

We are currently building online workshops for entrepreneurs and businesses to scale from start-up to revenue generation. We are also building a platform for online courses. I am also part of the Global Mentor Exchange, which will use AI for carrying out training.
