Thought Leader Interview: Cory Warfield

Cory Warfield is the cofounder at Loving Is, WeJ, DCRBN and is growing Coryconnects into one of the largest media companies globally. He is an executive, a consultant, a visionary, a media personality, an advocate, and community manager.

Tell us about yourself and your background

I spent over fifteen years working in the restaurant industry before starting my first tech company – a B2B SaaS company helping restaurants be more efficient and compliant with labor laws. The only thing I’ve done longer than working in hospitality has been music – I’ve been the frontman for touring bands with records since the mid-90s and have never stopped.

Now with nearly a decade of experience building tech and launching companies, fueled by a weighty brand on social media and surrounded by a world-class team, I’ve begun marrying blockchain and AI to help revive the broken radio industry, put the power of the music industry back in the hands of the artists and fans, to teach computer systems what love is and why it matters, to help the next billion people adopt web3 and daily AI usage, to build their personal AIs as well as personal brands, and am now getting back into hospitality as well. I am in the early stages of building a one-of-a-kind hotel, most likely in the Middle East.

I’ve also become a global keynote speaker, a sought-after growth hacker, and a philanthropist at this stage in my professional journey.

What is it that you currently do?

I am the cofounder at Loving Is, WeJ, and DCRBN, while growing Coryconnects into one of the largest media companies globally. I am an executive, a consultant, a visionary, a media personality, an advocate, and community manager.

What has been your biggest career success?

Being able to deliver a keynote this year at the Global Leaders Summit to discuss my e/acc (effective accelerationist) viewpoints and agenda to the “who’s-who” of the business world in Istanbul, Turkey, and helping launch a UBI project have been two recent highlights of my career.

Being able to raise and deploy capital, grow millions of users of tech I believe in, and being named an official Top Voice on LinkedIn have all also been transformative highlights.

Your latest venture, WeJ is using AI and blockchain to “read rooms”. Tell us about how it works.

We do have “read the room” technology that will allow any public place to know who’s there, what they want to hear, and deliver a superior audio experience. Our “read the room” vision can tap into CCTV, crowd-source from willing participants, sync to user data (transparent opt-in) and can be powered by DJs around the world, delivering their unique styles and sounds where they’re wanted and needed.

What is the mission of WeJ?

We’ve designed a community of DJs, producers, and aspirants to learn to use cutting-edge technology (we build much of it for them), use blockchain to know what’s being played when and where to distribute the proceeds to the artists and supply chain in a fair manner, allow DJs to monetize their genius and brands, and also can use generative AI to create original on-sentiment auditory experiences for clientele as well as embedding CTAs, advertising, “good vibes” and much more.

How did you test the concept?

Our diverse founding team is composed of DJs, producers, recording artists, models, and technologists. We conducted surveys, have been “building in public”, doing extensive market research, and have pilots planned for H2 of 2025 that will further validate the concept. Furthermore, we are community-driven, so we listen to our community members for validation and great ideas.

Give us an example of how WeJ is transforming the DJ/music industry.

Giving DJs multiple outlets to monetize, to get more paid work, to “be in more than one place at once”, to compensate recording artists more fairly, and allow public places to deliver superior experiences to their public and clientele.

What has been your biggest success since launching?

We are still somewhat in “shadow mode” but have had significant interest from top global DJs and well-known Grammy-winning recording artists, and are launching our exclusive WeJ World Champions program where members can buy in to be partners of WeJ with lifetime access, profit-sharing, and much more. This is an opportunity for “value-add” individuals to be part of something huge.

What do you see as the future of AI in the music industry?

Well, we see Grammy nominations for songs using AI already, and gAI music is getting REALLY GOOD. Our mission is to ensure humans aren’t removed from the creative and distribution process of music but rather can leverage the existing and emergent tools for the betterment of themselves, the industry, and society.

What is your vision for the future of the company?

We will grow to an international community of thousands of DJs and producers powering speakers around the globe. We are reimagining the defunct radio industry for the betterment of society. We forecast billions in revenue and will contribute strong percentages of profits to universal unconditional basic income, to be part of the solution as we move into a post-labor economy.

There is a big fear regarding AI replacing people, what are your thoughts on this?

The fears are founded, this is why Love (Loving Is), blockchain, WeJ, and especially UBI are so incredibly important – existential and mission-critical.

Another venture you are currently working on is a terrestrial space hotel, tell us more about this.

This one could be the biggest project I’ve ever been a part of. We have designs and exclusive access to spaceports, low-earth orbit experiences, terrestrial experiences such as zero-gravity and astronaut training, an experiential space museum, flying cars, and much more with the capability to build it all carbon-neutral, technically intelligent, and ultimately to connect earth and its human inhabitants to the atmosphere outside our incredible habitat, earth. We have lots of interest from funders, and allies in several Middle Eastern countries, but are solidifying where we will build, who we will bring into our cap table, and preparing to move quickly with this project for a number of factors.

You have seen tremendous recognition and success in the past few years including being an in-demand keynote speaker. What has the growth and success taught you?

I love being able to share my philosophies, predictions, experiences, and projects from stages around the globe, consistent with my mantra “together we rise” and being part of something bigger than myself. Having over 550K followers on social media, millions of followers across channels for my various ventures, and access to some of the top global executives has made me highly in-demand, and I don’t take that opportunity lightly. In 2025 I plan to speak in at least 12 countries in at least 4 continents, and love that keynote speaking is helping me see even more of the world and reach even more cultures.

What are your goals for the next 5 years and beyond?

I need to continue to beat the drum and build technology marrying blockchain and AI as I believe it’s existential, I need to continue moving UBI forward en masse for the same reasons and will build WeJ and Loving Is into global brands worth billions while moving the space hotel project forward. In the next 5 years, I expect to have seen the earth’s curvature with my own eyes as well.

Where can readers find out more about you?

I am highly active on LinkedIn and showcase my various ventures there — it’s the best place for readers to keep up with me and what I’m up to.
