Schneider Electric has promoted Amel Chadli to Vice President Middle East and Africa for Digital Energy and EcoStruxure. Amel, who has been with Schneider Electric for over a decade, will take up these new responsibilities alongside her existing Strategy role. Amel will spearhead the company’s growth in the areas of digital transformation and software across the region, with a specific focus on technology solutions that drive digitization of energy management for buildings, grids, power infrastructure, and services.
A dual French Algerian national, Amel’s experience spans energy management, services and digital transformation. She has held a number of roles during her time with Schneider Electric, including the Chief Financial Officer position for West and Francophone Africa. Over the past three years Amel has spearheaded the company’s overall growth and profitability throughout the Middle East and Africa.

EcoStruxure is Schneider Electric’s signature Internet-of-Things-enabled, open architecture technology that is designed to operate as a platform to connect electrical equipment across homes, building data centers, infrastructure and industries. EcoStruxure enables improved safety, reliability, efficiency, sustainability and connectivity across any built-up environment through technologies including sensing equipment, cloud-based analytics, and cybersecurity.

Amel holds a master’s degree in Law, Political Science and International Finance from the University of La Sorbonne, France. She has also undertaken several Schneider Electric executive education programs at INSEAD.
