Tell us about yourself and your background

I used to work in banking but started branching off as a beauty blogger over ten years ago, with a focus on spa, beauty, and wellness treatments. I’ve always had a deep appreciation for clean beauty and natural wellness, which stems from my own personal struggles with Rosacea. This journey has shaped me into an advocate for transparency and efficacy in skincare.

What inspired you to found Snow Fox Skincare?

Snow Fox Skincare was born from my own struggles with sensitive skin and inflammatory Rosacea, which is a medical condition. My journey led me to what we call “clean and clinical” skincare formulas, which inspired me to develop products that blend traditional healing ingredients with modern skincare science for maximized efficacy. I wanted to create something rooted in genuine, clean formulas that I could trust and share with others facing similar skin challenges.

Is your venture self-funded, or did you raise investment?

Snow Fox Skincare began as a self-funded venture, allowing me to remain deeply committed to the brand’s values. As the brand grew organically, we are still self-funded, woman-owned, led, and driven – this lets me keep our creativity and authenticity within the brand.

How did you work out which products to sell when you first launched? And how to produce/manufacture them?

We started with daily essentials that addressed key skin concerns, like sensitivity, redness, and hydration. I chose each product with purpose, focusing on ingredients that were powerful yet gentle. As we do not white label any formula, we have to create every single concept and formulation from scratch. This takes a lot longer.

How long did it take from launching to your first sale?

We made our first sale within days of launching, which was thrilling. It was a gradual buildup from there, as our audience began connecting with our brand values and the efficacy of our products.

How have you chosen the products to introduce to your product line as you have grown the business?

Each product introduction is driven by customer feedback and requests, market trends, and our core values. We prioritize functional, clean formulations that address specific needs. New additions are designed to complement our existing range while providing unique, proven benefits.

What makes Snow Fox unique?

Snow Fox is unique in its commitment to cutting-edge, modern skin tech with high efficacy while also featuring “ancient” beauty techniques. We are one of the few brands that use freeze-dried exosomes for superior potency, yet we work with master artisans to craft tools like our Gua Sha brushes, blending traditional practices with modern wellness. This attention to both is what truly sets us apart from most single-focus brands – but it can come across a little strange!

What has been your biggest success as a company?

One of our biggest successes has been seeing our products become favorites among customers with sensitive skin worldwide – as well as being able to revive a fading, ancient craft. Our elderly artists had begun carving spoons to survive, but since we have taken over their production lines – they are now happily making brushes for the next 12 months! Snow Fox’s recognition as an award-winning skincare brand is rewarding, but nothing compares to hearing how our products have transformed someone’s skin and confidence.

What are three pieces of advice for women who are dreaming of building their first business?

Stay True to Your Vision: Don’t compromise your values; they’re what will sustain your brand in the long run.

Build a Support Network: Stay close to family and friends, who can provide guidance and support as entrepreneurship can be a lonely, stressful experience.

Be Resilient: Entrepreneurship is a journey with highs and lows. Stick with it, and keep learning from every experience. Nothing is a true failure if you learn from it and use it to become much better.

What motivates you every day to wake up and do what you do?

Knowing that Snow Fox products make a genuine difference for people. Hearing from customers who feel more confident in their skin inspires me to keep innovating – I genuinely love seeing how relieved people are when they find Snow Fox works for them. We have a lot of customers who struggle with psoriasis, eczema and chronic skin issues, it means so much to be to able to help them as I had been the one struggling in the past. I only started to show pictures of my skin before because some people would not believe that I ever had Rosacea. I have Inflammatory Rosacea, actually – it’s a subtype that is much worse than just redness, it looks like red, swollen, burning welts and took a long time to manage.

What does a day in your life look like?

My days involve a mix of product development, overseeing marketing strategies, and connecting with different internal regional teams to push projects through. I also am the mother of a 3 year old and an 8-year-old, so I try to fit their needs and schedules into my workload, and if I have some extra time left, I set aside time for self-care to keep myself balanced. But to be honest, it is not easy – most of the time I’m rushing from one thing to another.

What is your favorite quote?

“Excellence is the best deterrent to racism or sexism.” – Oprah To me, this is a reminder that while being a self-funded female founder is hard, my work will speak for itself. And it has.

What are your top tips for entrepreneurs looking at starting a new business in the skincare industry?

Prioritize Transparency: Consumers are looking for brands they can trust, so be clear about your ingredients and production practices.

Focus on Quality: Invest in trustworthy manufacturing partners – not whoever gives you the best price or quickest turnaround.

Engage with Your Customers: Listen to their needs and let them guide your product development. They will show you through their buying behavior, happy reviews, and complaints.

What are your goals for the next 5 years?

Over the next five years, I simply want to refine the brand and continue growing alongside our clients. The expansion into the UAE has been incredibly exciting, to see this much positive feedback in less than 3 weeks – and having all our top items sell out even at Beauty World; this is such a great start. I hope to develop this market region more.
