What inspired you to start World Padel Academy (WPA)?
I’ve always believed in the potential of padel as a sport that connects people and communities. Starting WPA was about turning my passion for the game into an opportunity to create something meaningful. It was inspired by the idea of building a platform where people of all ages and skill levels could experience the joy and challenge of padel while pushing the boundaries of its growth.
World Padel Academy was born out of a profound passion for the sport of padel, which has evolved into a thriving business venture. As a long-time enthusiast of the game, I was driven by an unwavering dedication to share the sports with others, ultimately creating a platform that would elevate the sport to new heights. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, I dedicated myself to building World Padel Academy, a platform that would not only provide top-notch coaching and training but also foster a sense of community and camaraderie among padel enthusiasts. Today, World Padel Academy has evolved into a thriving business, with a global presence and a reputation for excellence.

World Padel Academy’s distinct approach sets us apart from other padel organizations by focusing on innovation, community, and creating experiences that go beyond just playing the sport. How does WPA contribute to the growth of padel as a sport?
WPA contributes by actively promoting padel at every level—from grassroots initiatives to professional tournaments. We’ve invested in creating accessible pathways for players, offering structured training, and developing events that engage both players and spectators. By expanding internationally, we are also raising the profile of padel globally and providing opportunities for people to connect through the sport.
What is the biggest challenge you have faced in growing the company?
The biggest challenge has been ensuring consistency in quality as we scale. Each market has its own dynamics, and adapting while staying true to our core values requires focus and determination. Balancing rapid growth with delivering exceptional experiences at every location is a challenge, but it’s one that has driven us to continuously improve and innovate. These challenges made us drive to excellence and perfection, right down to the fragrance infused in the venues.
What motivates you in your role as CEO on a daily basis?
Seeing the impact of WPA on people’s lives is what keeps me motivated. Whether it’s watching someone discover their love for padel or seeing a community come together through our events, those moments remind me of why I started this journey. Also, the unwavering support we are getting from the people and how passionate they are about the brand makes me want to keep achieving more and more. I’m also motivated by the incredible team I work with and the endless possibilities for growth and innovation within WPA. Seeing people grow in the organization makes me the happiest, this means we are on the right track.
What do you believe are the essential character traits and qualities to be a successful CEO in the sports industry?
In the sports industry, resilience and adaptability are key. You need to be passionate about what you do, while also staying grounded and forward-thinking. As a CEO, it’s important to have a clear strategic data-driven vision, the ability to lead and inspire your team, and the courage to make bold decisions whilst solving problems. Communication and adaptability are equally important, as they allow you to connect with your community and stakeholders. Lastly, emotional intelligence is a key thing for managing different and complex personalities throughout the organization, partners and stakeholders. Continuing to learn and develop is key to maintaining the company growth.
How do you balance your role as CEO of WPA with your other ventures?
Balance comes from having a strong team and a clear understanding of priorities. At WPA, I’ve worked to build a structure where each team member takes ownership of their role, which allows me to focus on strategy and growth. My other ventures complement WPA in many ways, and I see them as interconnected opportunities to make a broader impact. It’s not as easy as it’s written, however having key trustable people that surround you is the most important thing. The other ventures are in completely different sectors from WPA, which means sometimes you have to have a completely different approach and mindset.
