The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) organized the 2022 Partners Forum, to honor its strategic partners from local and federal government entities and private entities, in appreciation of their contribution to the Ajman Chamber’s achievements and projects during 2022.
The honoring ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC) and Board member of the Ajman Chamber, H.E. Mahmoud Othman Abu Al Shawareb, Member of the Board of Ajman Chamber, H.E. Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Ajman Chamber, and directors and officials of government entities and private sector institutions from the partners of the Ajman Chamber, at the square of Barista Vibes Cafe in Ajman.
The honoring ceremony began with a speech by H.E. Salem Al Suwaidi, as he welcomed the attendees and stressed the importance of the Ajman Chamber’s 2022 Partners Forum in terms of an opportunity to renew partnership and integration relations, and as a platform for exchanging visions and viewpoints for more prosperous and distinguished cooperation during the next stage, and to participate in supporting the reputation and competitiveness of the economy of Ajman and the UAE in general.
He explained that Ajman, under the auspices of its wise leadership, has strengthened its presence on the map of attracting direct investments globally, and the emirate has laid the foundations for a pioneering and sustainable economic environment that is supportive of the growth of the private sector establishments, thanks to partnerships and concerted efforts between local and federal government entities and institutions.
Al Suwaidi stressed that the Ajman Chamber continues to develop its partnerships and create a competitive business environment aimed at attracting investments, taking care of the interests of members of the establishments, providing proactive services, and developing the business of private sector establishments, pointing to the Ajman Chamber’s keenness to move steadily and confidently towards sustainable leadership, to continue the march of achievements during 2023.
The Forum witnessed a comprehensive video reviewing the most prominent projects and achievements of the Ajman Chamber during 2022.
During the honoring ceremony, a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Nora Al Marzooqi was organized, with the participation of H.E. Mohamed Al Janahi, Executive Director of the Trade Development and International Relations, Shaker Zainal, Chief SME Officer of Emirates Development Bank (EDB), and Sheikha Al Dhaheri, Director of the Government Communication Office at the Department of Economic Development in Ajman (Ajman DED).
During the session, Mohamed Al Janahi referred to the efforts of the Ajman Chamber in developing its foreign partnerships and strengthening relations with the countries of the world to open new markets for the emirate’s and the country’s exports by signing a wide range of cooperation agreements. He also stressed the importance of research and studies to monitor the best foreign markets, and also stressed the importance of the “Expo 2020 – Dubai” in support of international partnerships and the meeting of the Ajman Chamber and all entities operating in Ajman and UAE with the delegations of the countries of the world.
For his part, Shaker Zainal explained the EDB’s efforts to provide a supportive strategy for the UAE economy and the development of the local industry, pointing to the EDB’s keenness to diversify its partnerships with various government and private entities, and explained that EDB seeks to improve regulatory legislation to facilitate business financing operations, and to strengthen the technical linkage between the government entities and EDB to ensure the speedy completion of transactions.
Sheikha Al Dhaheri indicated that the partnerships between government entities and the private sector aim in general to achieve the well-being of the individual and the quality of life of the community and achieve benefits for both sides in line with the directions of each side. In addition, she explained that the Ajman DED always seeks through its partnerships with all entities to provide support to business owners and to improve the services provided, and presented to the audience a number of examples of cooperation agreements between the Ajman DED and its partners from government and private entities.
At the end of the forum, H.E. Salem Al Suwaidi honored the strategic partners of the Ajman Chamber from local and federal government entities and private sector establishments.
