Her Excellency Hessa Bu Humaid, Minister of Community Development, today opened the region’s largest beauty and wellness trade show, Beautyworld Middle East, at Dubai World Trade Centre.
Launching the show, Her Highness said: “It is an honour to open Beautyworld Middle East which has become a highlight of the calendar in the region and provides an educational, inspirational and community-led meeting point for beauty, fragrance and wellness professionals. I am delighted to see so many new international exhibitors here which is a testament not only to the growth of the exhibition, but also to Dubai’s commitment to bringing innovation and cross-industry collaborations to the world.”
During the visit, Her Highness visited various areas of the show, notably the Nazih Group stand, the Armaf stand, and the Emovation Lab where attendees are invited to create their own personalised scents inspired by their emotions. Her Highness also visited several country pavilions and met with the organisers of the show to congratulate them on its success.
The 28th edition of Beautyworld Middle Eastruns from 28 to 30 October 2024 and is set to attract over 70,000 visitors, with 2,000 exhibitors participating and 68 countries represented.
The three-day programme at Dubai World Trade Centre offers beauty lovers and insiders unrivalled access to nine of the industry’s fastest-growing segments: Fragrance; Cosmetics & Skincare; Hair, Nails and Salon Supplies; Personal Care & Hygiene; Beauty Tech; Supply Chain & Services; Clean + Conscious; prestigepack; and the newest category Beauty Beginnings – a dynamic zone designed exclusively for emerging startups and SMEs in the beauty sector entering the MENA region for the first time.
Attendees can look forward to show favourites including Front Row by Nazih – a series of high energy live demonstrations and expert presentations; the much-loved nail artistry competition Nail It! By Nazih Group; Signature Scent where international fragrance houses come together to create their own interpretations of the essence of Beautyworld Middle East; and Quintessence – an exclusive stage dedicated to niche fragrances.
Delving into the current state of the beauty industry and analysing its future growth, the Next in Beauty Conference brings together great minds and thought leaders from the industry to discuss trending topics, insights and challenges. Today’s (Monday 28 October) Next in Beauty keynote speaker is TV Star, Beauty Entrepreneur, Makeup Artist and Brand Ambassador, Joelle Mardinian. With over 21 million followers on Instagram and named as one of the world’s 500 most influential Arabs by Forbes, Joelle will be in conversation with Nezha Alaoui, CEO of Women Choice, from 1:15pm.
Amongst the discovery zones will be the all-new Beauty Beginnings experience which focuses on introducing 18 new brands into the MENA region, and the debut of beautyLIVE – a stage dedicated to live hair and make-up demonstrations and home of the Arabian Colour Fiesta by Goldwell. – the largest hair colour competition in the GCC.
With the prestigious Beautyworld Middle East Awards taking place on 29 October, and brand-new features, stages, brands and experts at the show, this year’s edition of Beautyworld Middle East will look into emerging markets, sustainability and the rise of Middle East fragrance exports.
